Real Flower Wedding Dresses

Category : Wedding Dresses

Wedding dresses either being embellished with multiple layered organza flowers or floral lines sketched by crystals or pearls, give us a natural feel and are truly beautiful.

How about dresses made with true flowers? This may sound impractical. But Zita Elze, a horticultural artist from UK, brought it to life.

Zita Elze was born in Brazil and went on to study horticultural design and upholstery design.

Zita Elze stitched cream-colored, light pink and peak green flowers and leaves onto satin and these formed the upper part of wedding dresses. The skirt part were made to As for the skirts of those dresses, they were made to be trains of feather and organza.

Zita Elze said the flowers and leaves that she had chosen were very soft and felt like fur, “I would like to make floral wedding dresses that can be worn on your body, rather than ones could only be displayed in the show window.”

Besides flower wedding dresses, Zita also made other accessories set with flowers, such as bridal handbags and bumbersoll.

The Big Reveal!

Category : Wedding Dresses

Is it underwear, or outerwear, 2016 Fashion confirms – it’s both! And it’s back!

In 1969 a famous magazine had the heading “What are you trying to hide?”, suggested that you need not worry about showing what was underneath your outfit, they stated “Show that you mean it,” it declared. “Don’t count on your underclothes not showing, choose them so if they do, it doesn’t matter.” This was put together with a model shot, represented a key moment in fashion history of underwear as outerwear!

Some 45 years later, what is public and private fashion is not clear, what should be shown or covered up? This is shown on the catwalk. This year, 2016, both Givenchy and Calvin Klein have modeled slip dress themed attire, along with Burberry’s recent show in London.

A quick look through slip dress shows us how popular it is and has been. Fans of the style include: Kate Moss, Michelle Pfeiffer’s Elvira Hancock in Scarface, Elizabeth Taylor, Rihanna, Madonna, Drew Barrymore, Courtney Love, Veronica Lake and Princess Diana.

In its standard form the slip dress, with its spaghetti straps, silky fabric and typical lacy trim, mirrors underwear, but also wants to be on show.

Kate Moss has also shown she is a fan of the underwear as outwear look to model agency party,
in 1993. Wearing a transparent silver slip by Liza Bruce. She finished the outfit off with a beer bottle and a Cigarette, the dress leaves nothing to the imagination and Moss seems very casual with her look!

Right Bra for the Big Day

Category : Wedding Dresses

The wedding ceremony is an important event for a bride. Every detail accounts. We know just how important it is choosing the right bra for the big day.

Daily worn bras of 3/4 cup, 1/2 cup and full cup all have slight shaping functions. They are fit for fashionable brides who have obvious S-shape figures. When you have decided on your wedding dress for the ceremony, you can match the style and colour of your bra with your dress.

The shape of the cup should match with the bust cutting of the dress. For brides wearing A-B bras, we recommend a 3/4 cup bra. C-D cup would be better choosing a 1/2 cup bra. Brides with small busts need to choose thicker full cup bras. While thinner full cup bras are first choice for brides who wear D cup or larger bras.

Apparently, someone on Etsy was offering to make handmade replicas of the Hello Kitty wedding dresses for brides who can’t get their hands on one all the way in Japan. It seems like she took her Etsy site down because we can’t find it anymore. Anyhow, we did some poking around the Internet and apparently, Sanrio has four more Hello Kitty wedding dress designs, though none of them are nearly as intricate as the pink one.

The white Hello Kitty wedding dress is probably the most simple of the bunch and the only one that resembles a traditional white wedding gown.

This wedding dress has a kind of bar wench look on the sleeves and neckline. The cotton fabric makes the dress look really informal and it’d look cute as a costume but not as a wedding dress.

This red velvet Hello Kitty wedding dress was rich in red and is well designed overall. It was probably designed for colder climes and not for the tropical heat of the Philippines.

The pale blue shade of this wedding dress may remind people a lot of Barbie for some reason!

Vintage lace wedding dresses could either be hated or loved. Most people like a traditional look with laces while others like a modern chic design. Lace brings a sense of romanticism and classism to the wedding dress. However, you can still make it creative with modern details such as beading, fabric structure and volume. Most of the lace gowns are expensive compared to other wedding dresses. But it also depends on the type of lace used in the creation. An intricate design for lace will add an additional cost to the wedding garments. For example, a French lace is very fine and light. It is the perfect choice for the wedding dress bodice.
